PHILOSOPHY

We’re all about natural health.  A natural health lifestyle can keep you out of the doctor’s office and not only add years to your life but life to your years. Our nation’s health care, or better yet, disease control system has conditioned us into believing that just because we haven’t been to the doctor, or been hospitalized recently that we are in good health. Don’t make the mistake of defining health as simply the absence of disease. Real health is so much more than that. Herbert Armstrong says it well: “Very, very few people are really vigorously healthy. You may not be actually sick or in pain - you may have no specific disease or disorder - and yet fall far short of that state of real bodily power and vigor and energy which is everyone’s right.”

Sure, real health involves not getting sick or at least recovering more quickly when we do get sick. In addition to that, real health is having enough energy to accomplish all we have to do in a day. Our energy should be there for us all day, and all night long until it’s time to go to sleep. We should wake up rested and not stiff and without pain. We should have stable moods. We should have regular elimination. We should have metal clarity and not be absent minded. We should be able to remember things like people’s names and phone numbers. We should be able to concentrate effortlessly, without being too spacey or scattered.

Many of the things we’ve come to accept as a natural part of the aging process may be common but they’re anything but natural. Things like: arthritis, osteoporosis, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, dementia etc. Although by embracing a natural health lifestyle you can expect to live longer it’s more about quality of life than it is about quantity. You see, we’re not meant to spend the last 10 or 15 years of or lives in an assisted living facility or nursing home. We should live active, vibrant lives well into our later years and then decline rapidly towards the end. Consider the following chart:

Not only that, don’t listen to the lie that it is your genetic destiny to become obese, or come down with some dreaded ailment. Just because you may have a relative who died of some chronic condition doesn’t mean you have to just roll over and accept that prognosis for your life. We can and must fight back and do all we can to overcome our genetic weak link. For the overwhelming majority of us, lifestyle has much more to do with our state of well being than our genetic makeup.

In order to maximize our potential we must address a number of factors. We need to look at that way we eat, the way we rest, the way we play, the way we think, the way we relate to other people and our world. We also need to look at the spiritual component of our beings and our purpose.

Without addressing the whole person: body, mind, heart and soul we can only expect limited results. That is what it means to embrace holistic / natural health and that’s what the HEALTHeREVOLUTION is all about.
